About the trip leaders:
Robin Shaevel is the Adult & Travel Program Coordinator for Newton Community Education (NCE), and previously served as the Middle & High School Program Coordinator for NCE Kids. She holds a Master’s Degree in Fine Arts from Loyola Marymount University and graduated from Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications and Maxwell School of Citizenship.
Before joining NCE, Robin worked at CNN in Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Boston. A longtime Newton resident, she raised her three children here and deeply values the sense of community. Robin loves working in the Newton schools, where she can be surrounded by all the fun and excitement.
Beyond NCE, Robin enjoys all activities outdoors like hiking, biking, running, swimming, and skiing. She is also an avid traveler and captures her experiences through photography. Robin especially loves spending time with her big Bernedoodle, Olive, on their walks in Vermont.
